This is my final project for experimental new media. I wrote a processing script that analyzes the entire lyrics of a certain album and maps them based on how many times certain words are used in the album. Words that are more used will be further from the center and larger than others. The colored lines represent each song. Darker and repeated lines represent word patterns within a song or the album. So I didn’t think I would like processing when I first started playing around with it (because lets face it, learning a new language is a pain in the ass). However, the level of speed and visual interest it can produce can’t be matched by flash. View full article »
